This property had all its doors removed including the French doors, front door and patio door. In place new solid oak doors were fitted with new hinges and mortice locks, once the carpentry work was complete Wittick decorators tack ragged the doors of any dust and applied 3 coats of boiled oil. When dry the doors were buffed ready for new door handles to be fitted.
New solid wood flooring was fitted and glued down. When laying a floor as well as letting the wood acclimatise to room temperature a minimum of a 7mm expansion gap should be left around all edges.
New wall lights and chandeliers were installed.
All the wood work was a brown stain to begin with, but with the correct preparation, 3 undercoats and two top coats of gloss the wood work gleamed.
