This property hadn’t been updated for 40 years. Kitchen was removed as was the bathroom, a new central heating system was installed, the house was re wired and the walls stripped and plastered. The bathroom tiles fitted were a stylish black slate that have to be sealed a minimum of 3 times per year to keep their matt black effect. A white gloss kitchen with black gloss worktops were installed with a breakfast bar. New chandeliers were securely fitted with gold sockets and switches. The original spindles were very intricate and finished up looking brand new. Al the floorboards were sanded and cleaned, we wanted to darken up the boards so we applied three coats of Rustins walnut wood stain, when dry two coats of Rustin’s clear gloss coat were applied to harden the floor.
A beautiful fire place was installed with new gas safety checks.
